Overview

Educated in Impressionist and Modern Art by his uncle, Philippe Cazeau, renowned international art dealer with whom he collaborated for nearly twenty years, Jean-François Cazeau chose to inaugurate his gallery by paying homage to his uncle with an exhibition of major artists who were part of the history with the Odermatt-Cazeau and Cazeau-Béraudière galleries, and who Philippe Cazeau defended with passion and rigour throughout his career.


Works by the following artists were exhibited : Maximilien Luce, Pierre Bonnard, Odilon Redon, Chaïm Soutine, Gen Paul, Francis Picabia, Joan Miró, Max Ernst, André Masson, Paul Delvaux, Jean Dubuffet, Fernand Léger, Alexander Calder, Ossip Zadkine, Alberto Giacometti, Germaine Richier, Pablo Picasso and Pierre Soulages.
