During the 2000s,the period of full maturity of his oeuvre, Zao Wou-Ki will start to create a few limited ceramics editions, in collaboration with prestigious workshops, such as Sèvres, or, in the case of this example, Bernardaud in Limoges, historical manufacturers of French porcelaine. His painted models often take inspiration from Chinese culture and literature.
