Plus d'information
Starting from the 1980s, Niki de Saint Phalle starts to reflect on the plossible ways she could marry real-life and artworks. As such, she starts creating furniture-sculptures, vases and light-pieces. Often, for the editions, she collaborates with Robert Haligon, "artisan de plastiques d'art". However, Niki also sculpts her own unique resin pieces, of which this one is an example.
Niki lived with her own works, and was fascinated by the idea others will be able to, erasing the frontieer between art and life. Her subjects are often pulled from her fantastical, colourful bestiary.
