André Masson : le surréalisme révolutionnaire !

Aladin antiquité, arts décoratifs et collections, Novembre 1, 2024
The work of André Masson (1896–1987) depicts the violence of life. Experimentation is its fundamental value. The Cazeau Gallery in Paris is exhibiting around thirty of his works spanning his career from 1923 to 1969. On display are the dreamlike and romantic Sentier sous-bois (1923), the cubist and surrealist Le repas (1924), the experimental automatic drawing of Métamorphoses (1928), and the brutal Poursuite (1933) and Le Thé chez Franco (1938).
