" A large-format ink painting from the historical period of the Chinese-born artist. It was donated to Robert Rousseau, curator of the 1980 exhibition at the Beaux-Arts in Charleroi. Zao Wou-Ki returned to ink painting in the 1970s, encouraged by his friend Henri Michaux.
Many works from this period are housed at MoMA in New York, the Centre Pompidou and the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris."
