La Galerie Jean-François Cazeau présente à la Brafa 2024

Alice Masson , Oniriq.fr, November 30, 2023

The Jean-François Cazeau Gallery, known for its ability to reflect artistic eras, presents its sixth participation in BRAFA with a selection of iconic artists who have marked the history of 20th-century art. Located in the Marais district of Paris since 2009, the gallery is renowned for building bridges between artistic movements on both sides of the Atlantic.

This year's exhibition is an ode to artistic history, highlighting the
avant-garde movements of the early 20th century and the Post-War movement. The deliberate choice of artists such as César Baldaccini, Max Ernst, Fernand Léger, and Pierre Soulages implies a desire to show the continuity and evolution of artistic thought throughout these crucial periods. The works on display are representative of the Galerie Jean-François Cazeau. From the powerful sculptures of César Baldaccini to the softer canvases of Leonor Fini, this intentional juxtaposition invites reflection and contemplation.
Among the leading artists in this exhibition are iconic figures such as
Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Pierre Soulages, whose impact on 20th-century art is undeniable. The presence of young contemporary artists such as Nicolas Lefeuvre reminds us that art history is a continuum, constantly evolving thanks to new creative voices.
The Jean-François Cazeau Gallery will be present at Stand 41 at BRAFA 2024, which will take place from 28 January to 4 February in Brussels. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore this collection every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a special late night opening on 1 February until 10 p.m.
