A photogrammd photo of a nude, thiw work is specific of Pierre Jahan's sensibility in the rendering of the human figure - something he did with great effect when illustrating Jean Cocteau's Plein-Chant volume of poems.
It shows the artist's expermentation with photogram and photo-montage, as well as his interest in combining painting and photography. The background for this montage is a painting that Jahan himself created, which serves to set the stage for a poetic vision of love. The only spot of colour is the gouache coloured heart hanging from the tree.
