A true neo-pop artist, in the tradition of Robert Rauschenberg and James Rosenquist, Fury appropriates images, multiplies them, decontextualises them and re-appropriates them. Tied by friendship with French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, Fury sometimes touches upon semiotics : here, CAT is reduced to its word-sign and fake fur. The hasard makes that, when under the plexiglass, the work, when caressed, starts to move. As such, CAT can be "petted".
