In the period between the two world wars, André Dunoyer de Segonzac was considered, together with André Derain and Henri Matisse, as one of the most important representatives of modern painting, offering a road different to that of Picasso and Braque's cubism. Part of the iconic 1913 Armory Show, which kickstarts the modern american school, his posterity is assured.
In 1925 the will settle in Saint-Tropez, becoming one of the most important artists of the region.
